The Board of Commissioners for the Westlake Fire Department authorized the purchase of an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) last fall equipped with a pump and water/foam tank to assist with wildland fires in the Wildland Urban Interface. The ATV commonly, known as Scout 902, is also capable of carrying a patient from the wilderness to a transport ambulance. This apparatus is now in service at Station 902 at 1295 Capital of Texas Hwy, South.
